A miniature specimen hosting a cluster of deep red, rhodochrosite scalenohedrons set against a nicely contrasting matrix of manganese oxides.    

These started coming out of Peru in the 80's, but over the past couple years fewer and fewer have been found.  This was among the best in the possession of one of the Peruvian dealers at this year's Tucson show.
