An example from the continuing finds at the Merelani Hills. A few specimens surfaced at the Denver Show in September, and have continued to trickle out since. I found a group of decent examples at the show, priced reasonably enough to offer them a bit lower than the couple other places I've seen them available.
I can only wonder what else has been found in these mines that was totally ignored by the miners. For decades all that made it out was tanzanite and diopside, but over the last several months, alabandite, wurtzite, and even rather poor rhodochrosite has been found.
