A really nice example of barite from Cerro Warihuyn. These first started coming out around 2005, it's mostly an artisanal endeavor so pieces continue to come out from time to time. I usually avoid them for that very reason, but this group was particularly nice-- there are a few different styles that come from here, the thicker, glassier and more lustrous ones (like this) are probably my favorites.  The crystal also sits up nicely, with just enough space between it and its matrix to allow some light to pass through it.
