JU202 Copper
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
13.1x 7.0x 4.6 cm
$600

A cabinet specimen from Tsumeb, composed almost entirely of native copper and forming a vug containing numerous well defined crystals. Although copper was one of the primary products of the Tsumeb mine (it was even known as a source of copper to the indigenous peoples long before Western mining began) the location did not actually produce all that many specimens of native copper.
