A great example of purple fluorite from Inner Mongolia. To begin with, purple fluorites have been somewhat uncommon at the locality-- the vast majority have been colorless. The color of this piece however, is especially bright-- I have only seen a few examples of this material.
This is not a complere octahedron (the back is etched) but there is no significant damage to the froont of the piece. In a couple spots, very minor micro chopping is visible under magnification. I have photographed the piece under strong lighting, as it would be in a display case It does not take much for the piece to completely light up.
I posted a couple of these before, this one is significantly cheaper because I paid less for it myself, than for the others.
