A thumbnail sized specimen of purplish pink liddicoatite tourmaline from recent finds at the famous Anjanabonoina pegmatites. Although one of the oldest and best known localities for Malagasy tourmaline, his locality has been somewhat sleepy for the last several years, producing intermittent phenacite, danburite, and larger, dark crystals for slicing. This comes from a recent pocket of cherry colored crystals that was discovered late at year.
This crystal is not complete all around, but displays well form the front (as shown.)
