A galena cube on a nicely contrasting chert matrix, from the Tri-Satate district.  I like these better than the more contemporary Viburnum Trend specmens, because the chert matrixes tend to give the pieces a much cleaner appearance than the messy breccia visible on those from Viburnum.  The last mine in the area closed in 1967.
