CCN51 Lazulite
Graves Mountain, Lincoln Co., Georgia, USA
8.4x 7.2x 3.6 cm
$69

A rich specimen of this phosphate mineral (not to be confused with the lazuRite found in Afghanistan) from the classic Graves Mountain locality, better known for its spectacular rutile specimens.

Most of the crystals on this piece are embedded in the matrix with only their cross sections visible, but a couple are well exposed enough to be able to see the natural crystal faces.

These are not very common any more, and this is a particularly rich reference piece.
